CUTTING YOUR OWN HAIR IS A CRAZY IDEA

I am such a dork! i know!
I woke up this morning and was so extremely annoyed with my hair that I
went downstairs to the bathroom, took an old pair of scissors (not
meant for hair cutting) and proceeded to cut my hair.

I don’t know what I was thinking! Oh wait, no scratch that - I wasn’t thinking (
gets an ape and smacks my face with it).

My
hair is uneven and all over the place now. I tried to fix it as best
I could. I guess it doesn’t look that bad and mishappen. I guess it’s
blending in with the rest of the hair that I managed not to attack with
the scissor.

Anyway, as my
friend Rhea always says, "It’s only hair. It’ll grow back."

Right on, Rhea!

Peace_out
I did the peace sign so that you would all know that I cut my hair in
peace. No screeching monkeys or hyenas forced me to do it

Wow, now that I look at this bottom pic, it’s amazing how forgiving the camera can be and how it hides all of my uneven hair - YAY! *claps hands madly*

I’ve always cut my own hair, coz I could never find someone to cut my hair just the way I want it. Besides, letting other people cut your hair is so passe. Giving yourself a haircut is whats vogue right now. So good for you. lolz

Hey Daphne! Long time, no see! Anyway, I’ve been cutting my own hair since I was 16. Back then I used to fade the sides and comb it back (the standard asian cut back in the day), but now it’s all about the messy look (with a slight point in the middle, if you’re metro)so I started growing the sides and have been using thinning shears ( scissors that are jagged on one end). I swear, that’s the best invention ever created haha. I put the clippers away and now use thinning shears 100% of the time. If you ever go on another random hair-cutting venture, I’d suggest that you try thinning shears.. you might like it! Take care!

I’ve cut my own hair for years. Buzz cut. Blade 1 on the back and sides and #2 guard on the top.

Very nice blog. I like your writing style and your topics are always pleasant to read. Rather refreshing to browse over in a stress filled day at the office. Keep up the good work.

When I was two years old my mother left a pair of baby scissors (the ones that don’t cut anything except construction paper) where I could reach them. So I grabbed them during nap time and cut my hair. A child prodigy, I would later learn to cut hair for all my boyfriends (they love that AND you get to choose the style). That was a joke about the child prodigy. Of course it was a horrible mess and in order to put it right my mother had to give me a very short cut. Then people thought I was a little boy and I hated that so I was trying to put those plastic baby barrettes in whatever hair I had!! Have suffered from gender confusion ever since.
